Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept manuscript submissions from poets outside of British Columbia, Canada?

No, at this time we only accept full-length manuscript submissions from poets residing in British Columbia, Canada. However, poets across Canada are welcome to submit to our annual Chapbook contest.

Can I include poems in my manuscript that have been previously published elsewhere?

Yes! While your full-length collection must be previously unpublished, you may include poems in your collection that have been previously published elsewhere — this includes online or in-print. We will include an acknowledgements page that recognizes where your poems were previously published.

Do you accept work created using Artificial Intelligence?

No, we do not accept submissions that use Artificial Intelligence in any part of the creative process.

I'm a poet who may need additional support during the submission process (i.e. a poet living with a disability or other challenge). Can I reach out to you with questions before I submit?

Of course, you can submit questions through our Contact page if you need additional support with the submission process. Please note that it may take our editor 5-10 business days to respond.

Can I include art or other mixed-media in my submission?

We love to see your art, though we can’t gaurantee that it will make it to the final print version. Fine art and colour have unique needs when printing to ensure that it is replicated with quality and care, which may not always be possible for us to do with the type of paper and ink that we use for printing your poems in book form.

I'm an artist interested in cover art design. Can I reach out to you with my portfolio?

Absolutely! We love to connect with B.C.- based artists for our cover designs.
